Meet your new weight control.
MASS adds body, harmonic density and attack. Use Crisp for brightness, Mix to blend and Output to balance the level. Start with a preset and adjust while your track plays.
1. Install on your Mac.
MASS 1.0.0 requires macOS 13 or later, Apple Silicon or Intel, and a DAW that loads AU or VST3 effects. There is no Windows or AAX build in this release.
- Download the MASS macOS installer from My Account.
- Quit your DAW. Open the DMG and run the MASS installer package.
- Complete the installer, then open your DAW and rescan plugins if needed. Look for SpinZ CZ → MASS.
Unsigned Early Access: this installer is not notarized. macOS may say the developer cannot be verified. Only use the download from My Account. After attempting to open it, review the app-specific option under System Settings → Privacy & Security. Do not disable Gatekeeper or your security settings globally.
The installer places the AU in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/MASS.component and VST3 in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/MASS.vst3.
2. Activate your serial.
- Copy your MAS1 serial from My Account.
- Open MASS on an audio track. Paste the serial into its activation screen.
- Choose Activate while connected to the internet.
One personal license supports up to five installations. Activation saves a signed receipt on this computer. Offline use works until that receipt needs renewal, up to 365 days. The plugin is silent before activation, including when bypassed internally.
3. Give it a sound.
- Play a section with drums, bass or an instrument that feels thin.
- Choose a preset suited to the source. Increase Body gradually.
- Use Punch for more attack. If it feels dull, bring up Crisp.
- Turn Mix down to blend with the original. Use Output to keep the listening volume comparable.
- Press Compare to hear the original. Keep the change only if it helps.
Small moves suit a full mix. Higher Body and Punch settings deliberately become more aggressive. This is a tone and dynamics effect, not automatic mastering.
The controls.

| Power | Bypasses the processing without clearing the controls. |
Drag a knob up or down, or use the value field. Press F1 with the plugin focused to open this guide. Factory presets are starting points; their result depends on your source and level.
If something isn’t right.
I cannot find MASS in my DAW.
Quit and reopen the DAW, then rescan AU or VST3 plugins. Confirm that you use a supported Mac and a 64-bit compatible host. Older MASS Dev audition copies share the same plugin identity; remove or archive those before installing the release.
MASS is silent.
Check activation first, then your DAW’s routing and track input. Reconnect and activate again if the saved receipt has expired. Compare does not unlock an unactivated plugin.
The sound becomes too heavy or sharp.
Lower Body or Punch, reduce Crisp if the top is sharp, then blend with Mix. Compare at a similar loudness. Every source needs a different amount.
How do I update or uninstall?
Quit all audio apps before updating. Download the new installer from My Account and install both formats together. To uninstall, remove MASS.component and MASS.vst3 from the paths above. Presets saved in your DAW session remain part of that session. Contact support before removing license data.
